Indonesia 2006

To get used to Indonesia, we started the
holiday at one of the most tourist friendly places, Kuta in Bali. From there
we made a few excursions; to Taman Burung (Bali Bird Park) and to a Barong Dance. |

When you visit a temple in Bali, you must
wear a Sarong. These can often be borrowed. In the North of the Island, is
Mount Batur, an old volcano, with a lake in the crater. |

|
Next stop was Ubud, in the middle of the
Island. It is a village set in a beautiful landscape of rice paddies and full
of artists making paintings and woodwork. |

The last Island we visited was Lombok, very
laid back and not too many tourists. At this temple we were the first
(Western) tourists in 2 weeks |
