Morocco 2006

We started in Fes. Fes is 3 cities in one, Fes-al-Bali (the old, walled city), Fes-Djedid (new Fes), and the Ville Nouvelle (build by the French). In Fes-al-Bali the streets are so narrow that you can only walk, or go on horse of donkey back. It is said to be the largest car free zone in a city in the world.
Transport in the Fes Medina	Open a plain door in a little street and all of a sudden you enter a stunning courtyard of a small palace.
In some cities in Morocco, leather is still made in the old fashioned way. It is a very hard job, standing in bird shit or camel urine.	Many years after Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, we also took the Marrakech Express,
Djemaa el Fna, the central square of Marrakech by night when it is a market for fruit, nuts and full of restaurant stalls.	An open square in the souks
