We started in Fes. Fes is 3 cities in one, Fes-al-Bali (the old, walled city), Fes-Djedid (new Fes), and the Ville Nouvelle (build by the French). In Fes-al-Bali the streets are so narrow that you can only walk, or go on horse of donkey back. It is said to be the largest car free zone in a city in the world.

Open a plain door in a little street and all of a sudden you enter a stunning courtyard of a small palace.

In some cities in Morocco, leather is still made in the old fashioned way. It is a very hard job, standing in bird shit or camel urine.
