The dome of the Duomo is a famous landmark, but not only the exterior is worth seeing.

Across the square is the Baptistery, which has beautiful gold doors and also a very nice inside with mosaics.

The Santa Maria del Carmine is a non descript church outside the centre but the Capella Brancacci has a series of fresco’s by Masolino and his students about the life of St. Peter which made him the pioneer of Renaissance art.

The black and white Duomo in Sienna is one of the most beautiful churches in the world. Both the outside and the inside are superbly decorated and very well balanced.

Inside the Duomo there is a library with old books and frescos on the walls and the ceiling.
